Cambridge Ecstatic Dance & Cacao Circle

Hello everyone!

Ecstatic Dance MA is returning to our indoor ecstatic dances at the Cambridge Dance complex and our first dance back we are bringing our friends from Shamanism For the People to host a beautiful ecstatic dance and cacao circle!

~ EVENT FLOW (times are approximate) ~

3:00pm - Opening 

3:15pm - Cacao Circle with Shamanism For The People

4:00pm - Ecstatic Dance with Dustin Rosata

5:15pm - Closing Connections

5:30pm - End

(Please note both the building and our reserved time end at 6pm. Both participants and staff will need to have exited the studio by 6pm)

~ PARKING / PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION ~

There are two garages nearby:

Green St Garage at 260 Green St, Cambridge, MA 02139 and

Communal Parking Lot #6 at 65 Bishop Allen Dr, Cambridge, MA

The closest train station is the Central Station stop on the Red Line which is less than a 5 minute walk from the Dance Complex.

~FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS~

Q: Are kids okay to join? 

A: Yes! This is a safe space for anyone who is able to stand on their own two feet and dance! As long as they are aware and respectful of others' boundaries and respectful of the event then they are welcomed to join us!

Q: Is there anything to drink?

A: There are multiple water stations within the dance complex you can use. We recommend bringing a reusable bottle. Please note that all our ecstatic dances are sober, alcohol-free events

Q: What are parking options like?

A: There are two garages nearby:

Green St Garage at 260 Green St, Cambridge, MA 02139 and

Communal Parking Lot #6 at 65 Bishop Allen Dr, Cambridge, MA

Additionally there are usually a very small handful of 2 hour metered parkings spots along and perpendicular to Mass Ave. Public transit is another option as the Dance Complex is only a 1 minute walk from Central Station!

Q: Do you ever need a hand?

A: We generally can accept about 1 -2 volunteers who would like to help with setup / takedown / registration table in exchange for a free ticket to the event. Thanks in advance for your desire to help!

Q: What type of music can I expect?

A: That's a great question that will depend to an extent on the DJ. Within our pool of DJs, you will find different varieties of music that take you through a mountain of speeds, sounds, energies, and genres. Many of our DJs produce their own music so you can look them up and hear their produced sounds online! Please be aware most of the DJs within our community operate mostly within the realm of electronic dance music, however we do encourage artists to pull outside of EDM to help increase the breadth of their musical journeys.
